Round 24 of La Liga kicked off on Friday night with the Real Sporting de Gijon game against Madrid Club Rayo Vallecano. Final result a 2 - 2 draw in a very even match where the victory could have gone to either team. The goals came in the following order:

  • Miku 38th min, 1 - 1
  • Halilovic 45th min, 2 - 1

Real Madrid Spanish Liga

Real Madrid defeated 4 - 2 Athletic Club Bilbao in an entertaining game of Football. Athletic Club kept to their attacking spirit even though they needed to come from behind on most occasions. The visitors were brave & left a very good impression even though they failed to leave with points.

The goals came in the following order:
  • Cristiano Ronaldo 2nd , 1 - 0
  • Eraso 9th min, 1 - 1
  • James Rodriguez 36th min, 2 - 1
  • Kroos 45th min, 3 - 1
  • Cristiano Ronaldo, 80th min, 4 - 1
  • Elustondo, 89th min, 4 - 2
The match was blemished by a very poor referee who made some bad decisions. One of the many to note was the double yellow card to Rafael Varane for contesting headers. Both considered as "violent" with both being far from really dangerous. Real Madrid finished the latter part of the game with 10 men.

Villarreal keeps strong on the 4th position of the Spanish Liga classification table after defeating Malaga 1 - 0. The winner that secured the three points for Villarreal came in the 17th min through forward Roberto Soldado.


Spanish Football

Both Valencia Coach Neville & Espanyol Coach Galca had their jobs on the line with the result of their match tonight. The final result Valencia CF 2 - RCD Espanyol 1, an end to the game that puts Coach Galca on the ropes.

Espanyol went ahead first in the 51st min through Oscar Duarte, but Valencia managed to equalize in the 70th min through Negredo & 5 mins later went ahead thanks to Cheryshev
