SPANISH FOOTBALL - LIGA - ROUND 22 MONDAY NIGHT GAME RESULT

Spanish Football action tonight with the last game of Round 22 of Liga. Villarreal hosted Osasuna & won with a final 3 - 1 result to take the 5th spot of the Spanish League table, a position they are fighting for with Real Sociedad.

The first half was fairly even with perhaps Osasuna having the edge, but the second half was a totally different picture. Villarreal rapidly went ahead in the 46th min when Perbet scored. The defensive mistakes appeared in Osasuna & they were to continue for the rest of the game. Perhaps nerves set into the visiting team as Villarreal lifted in their Football putting onto the ropes Osasuna. The second goal for Villarreal came in the 55th min when Trigueros took advantage of a Osasuna lapse. The third came in the 75th min with Perbet again scoring & getting his second for the night. Osasuna managed a consolation goal in the 86th min when Oriol Riera pulled a "rabbit out of the hat" with a magical goal.
