Granada played Valladolid Friday Night & defeated them 4 - 0 . Valladolid were out played & out classed & in the process got themselves into classification ladder "red zone". Granada was on fire & the goals came from Murillo with a brilliant overhead goal in the 11th min, followed by two goals from Recio - 21st & 54th min - & the last by El Arabi.
Athletic Club Bilbao steamrolled Almeria 6 - 1 with an exhibition of goals & play that highlighted why they are currently in Champions League table positions. The goals came in the following manner:

Celta de Vigo won 2 - 1 Valencia CF to put back down to Earth the visitors. Although Valencia scored first with a 23rd min goal from Parejo, Celta retook the situation & forward Carles scored two goals - 50th & 78th min - to give Celta three valuable points & a boost of confidence.
The match of Round 19 between the current top Spanish Clubs in Liga, Atletico de Madrid & FC Barcelona finished with a 0 - 0 final result draw. FC Barcelona finishes the halfway mark of the Liga season Top of the table with Atletico de Madrid second with shared points but less goals. The Club the really benefited most from this result was Real Madrid which can reduce the current 5 point gap to 3 points if they manage to win tomorrow their Liga game.
FC Barcelona left Messi & Neymar on the bench & Atletico de Madrid started suffocating Barcelona from the first second. It was 10 to 15 mins of intense pressure that gave Atletico goal chances but they could not convert. Barcelona recovered & began stabilizing things & gained their own goal chances.
This was to be the "tonic" of the rest of the match, see-saw play, intensity, fierce midfield battles, hard defending & chances to both sides that at times needed the intervention from both goalies Courtois & Valdes. FC Barcelona later in the second half brought on Messi & Neymar but they were neutralized by Atletico with a fantastic Arda Turan, a hard working Diego Costa, a firm Gabi along with the whole Atletico defence.
Overall an excellent match of Football that only lacked goal. Atletico de Madrid with less "Football Resources" was brilliant, I as a supporter was proud tonight. While FC Barcelona is a proven Champion team & tough nut to crack covered with World Stars.

Elche ended its streak of 4 losses drawing with Sevilla FC 1 - 1 with the visitors having to make a last minute comeback tonight. The match overall was boring, not much upfront as both team neutralized themselves in all areas. It looked as if this game would end with a draw but in the 82nd min Cristian Herrera put Elche ahead, however the "Football Gods" wanted this a draw & in the 91st min Carriço equalized for Sevilla FC. Everything occurred in the last 10 minutes, the result was just.
