News out of England - "Sunday Telegraph" - & picked up locally by "AS" suggest that Spanish Football Club Real Madrid & English Premier League Club Manchester United are very close to shutting the loan of left-back & Portuguese International Fabio Coentrao. The Real Madrid player was apparently very close to signing last summer for English Club but the deal fell through in the last moment. Now Coentrao maybe joining United on "loan".
The term loan is placed in commas because Manchester United could turn the loan into an official buy at the end of the season. The English Club is thinking about "cleaning" its squad at the end of the season & current left-back Evra could be one of those to leave which would give 25 year old Coentrao time to adapt himself to English Football & prove his worth before a buy.
Coentrao needs to find "Football time" in order to secure his spot in the Portuguese National Team for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil. The player has suffered numerous injuries & is not the regular left-back at Real Madrid. This maybe the best option for him & Real Madrid.
The news is not official as yet & as always it would be wise to wait for the official Club/s statement. Stay tuned!
