Spanish 2º Division & Madrid Club Alcorcon hosted Liga Club Granada & lost 0 - 2. The two goals were scored in excellent fashion by Granada forward Ighalo in the 30th & 80th min. Granada with this victory has its participation in the next stage of the Spanish Cup assured barring an "accident".
Same story to the visitors Almeria which travelled to the Canary Islands to play 2º Division Club Las Palmas. Almeria won 1 - 3 & virtually assured their presence in the next stage of the Spanish Cup awaiting the result of the return match at Almeria. The goals came to Almeria via Oscar Diaz with two - 15th min & 26th min ( penalty ) - & Alex Vidal in the 22 nd min. Las Palmas managed to win some pride & open the "possibility door" with a 73rd min goal by Nauzet Aleman from a great free-kick.
Gimnastic - Spanish 2º B Division - hosted Liga Club Valencia CF & nearly won. The final result was a 0 - 0 draw with the home team dominating, working hard, creating all the chances - hitting the post - & nearly scoring. Valencia CF put in a shocker, terrible performance with all their regular top players on the field. Plus Valencia ended up with 10 men when Jonas received a red card in the 87th min. All this will bring back the worries to Valencia as they have some internal Club problems which will not go any apart from on field issues that has Coach Djukic on the edge. Gimnastic has a wonderful chance to knock off a "big gun" if they can repeat this match in Valencia for the 2º leg match.
Spanish 2º Division Club Real Jaen nearly pulled off a surprise after making a grand comeback to draw 2 - 2 with Liga Club RCD Espanyol. The visitors had things relatively under control & went ahead in the 46th min with a David Lopez goal. However things complicated themselves for Espanyol when Jaen equalized with an own goal from Sidnei. The home team then managed to turn the match around with a 70th min Jozabed goal. However, Espanyol equalized & Stuani saved their night with a 88th min header. The tie is wide open as both will meet again in Barcelona for the 2º leg.
Amazing game of Spanish Cup Football between Malaga FC & Osasuna. The final result 3 - 3 draw with Osasuna turning around a 3 - 0 deficit. Intense match with both sides having a player sent off, Loe for Osasuna in the 64th min & Camacho for Malaga in the 84th min.
The first half was all Malaga with three goals from Sergio Sanchez 31st min, Antunes 38th min & Juanmi 47th min. However, Osasuna lifted & turned the match around completely with their three goals, Robert Torres 57th min, Onwu 61st min & Armenteros 78th min. The local crowd booed off their team & Malaga Coach Schuster as they could not explain the disappearance from the match of their team. The tie is wide open, with the away goals giving Osasuna the edge.
