Mentioned all this I did manage to catch a few matches via TV, Atletico de Madrid of course & caught the 4-0 performance & victory of Real Madrid over Real Valladolid. The highlight here was the HAT-TRICK by new star signing Gareth Bale which has caught the front covers of local Spanish Sports papers & many overseas ( especially UK ) big newspapers.
The habitual "ritual" is to allow the HAT TRICK ( or more ) scorer take the match ball with all the players signatures home. Above is a picture of the ball taken home by the Welshman who was "over the moon" with joy as he should be. The Real Madrid forward is quickly blending in with the team & is successfully contributing. The three Bale goals last night were not "out of this World" but Bale managed to be in the right place all the time to header-knock the ball into the opposition net.
The Spanish media is exaggerating a bit with Bale putting the player up to the levels of the absent Cristiano Ronaldo etc, a bit too excited about the whole matter I think. Still light years to reach the level of Ronaldo although things are definitely positive, be happy about & everyone hopes that the Welshman keeps progressing & improving. After paying more the 91M€ in transfer fee from Tottenham Hotspurs the news of a Hat-Trick by Gareth Bale should not surprise or be great news, it should be expected & on a regular basis.
