Fantastic match of Football given to us by Athletic Club Bilbao & Real Betis with the home side pulling from pride & overcoming unlucky situations to win 2 - 1. Unlucky because it seemed that Bilbao was cursed in the first half with two missed chances hitting the bar ( Ibai & Gurpegui ), & to add, Real Betis got ahead in the 63rd min with a Jorge Molina goal.
However, Bilbao pulled from pride & pushed on by their local fans turned things around with a header equalizer by De Marcos in the 73rd min & the winner by San Jose in the 82nd min.
Real Betis may feel disappointed that they did not manage to "knock -out" Bilbao during their "worst" moments.
Madrid Club Getafe managed to finally get a win after defeating Celta de Vigo 2 - 0 at home. Getafe managed to get a psychological goal right in the 45th min from Lisandro to open up the scoring . Getafe then nailed it 5 mins into the second half with a second goal from Arroyo that took the wind out of the Celta sails. From here & onward the home team was more comfortable & had more chances that they could not further convert.
Celta de Vigo needs some solid victories to lift their season, however early it may be relatively speaking.
Fabulous game of Football with excellent play, adrenalin flowing from both teams, struggle & open attacks from Villarreal & RCD Espanyol with the former finally taking the clash & victory 2 - 1.
Villarreal went ahead in the 31st second with a Perbet goal. Espanyol lifted & shook off the surprise but it was their goalkeeper Casillas that kept them alive with a string of incredible saves during the first half.
The second half saw Espanyol lift but in a left wing incursion from Villarreal player Cani the second goal came when Pereira hooked with the pass in the 67th min. Espanyol did not give in & managed a great goal in the 80th min from Sergio Garcia, but the reaction came too late & Villarreal held on.
Three points to Villarreal after some excellent Football which puts them currently fourth on the Liga classification table.
