If in the below post it is rumoured that Real Madrid Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain is on his way out next season, from England - "The Sun" - we receive news that Karim Benzema is also wanted & desired. The newspaper source has a "bad reputation" & thus the story loses strength by filling the sensationalist category, but the interested Club is Manchester United.
This last name & Club counter-weights the "bad source" because effectively Manchester United has always been interested in Karim Benzema, & new Manchester United Coach David Moyes continues with the line of thought. In fact, it was Real Madrid that signed Benzema from "under the nose" of Manchester United seasons back so we need to keep all news between Man Utd - Benzema in mind.
The Frenchmen has not had his best season & has performed well below his expected best. This has set in doubts within Real Madrid & the fans on whether to keep the striker on the pay-roll. The speculated offer of 35M€ from Manchester United - always according to "The Sun" - is way more interesting than team-mate Higuain & thus makes its a possible "OK will sell" option.
However before we all get crazy, the Manchester United offer would have more sense if Wayne Rooney decides to leave the Club, & other news sources indicate that the new Coach David Moyes wishes to keep the English International. Thus Benzema in any case would be a Plan B option.
From a personal point of view, I feel that Karim Benzema will wish to stay at Real Madrid in any case & that the technical staff considers the player a "class act" not to sell if not needed. There are other rumoured interested Clubs like Paris St Germain, but I think Real Madrid fans can feel easy for next season.
Said this, anything is possible in Football. Stay tuned!.
