ATLETICO DE MADRID THINKING ABOUT DAVID VILLA

DAVID VILLA looks closer than ever in leaving FC BARCELONA at the end of the season. There are too many rumours "in the air" that gives this idea weight. The 31 year old Spanish International is strongly linked to ARSENAL FC which made a failed attempt at the end of last month to get the player over to London.

However, ATLETICO DE MADRID has "sounded out" Villa. Atletico has nearly accepted the idea that their star forward FALCAO will leave at the end of the season. The Spanish Football Club needs to move now in order to secure themselves in the front running for a class replacement. David Villa is an option & staying in Spain to continue playing Football with a Club that has Champions League aspirations may attract Villa instead of the Premier League.

The other two names that Atletico de Madrid is managing are Liverpool forward LUIS SUAREZ & Manchester City DZEKO, but the Villa option is - believe it or not - cheaper than the two names mentioned as the transfer price of Villa maybe around 15-16M€. The Spanish Sports paper "AS" claims that Villa is open to the Atletico de Madrid idea & will discuss this with the Spanish Club at the end of the season.
