ATLETICO DE MADRID hosted Chech Club VIKTORIA PILSEN in their Group B match & won 1 - 0 in the very last moment. The Spanish team had a B-side on the field after Coach Simeone gave important regular starters a rest.
However, the Spaniards were not sharp tonight & although they had chances their efforts were not effective at all. The saver came in the last minute via CRISTIAN RODRIGUEZ with a brilliant goal that "masked" the irregular game 92 mins before.
Can´t say very much more about Viktoria who also looked dull & out of sync. But they did their job in attempting to hold out until Atletico pulled "a rabbit out of the hat" in the 93rd min.

SPARTA PRAGA defeated a poor ATHLETIC CLUB BILBAO 3 - 1 in their Group I match. Bilbao were terrible on the field & they are disintegrating off the field. The Fran Llorente "affair" lingers & Coach Bielsa has pressured the players so much that they have snapped. I would not discount that if this goes on , Bilbao may ask Bielsa to leave.
Spartak opened the scoring in the 25th min with a ZAPOTOCNY, the second came in the 49th via an own goal from ADURIZ & the third came in the 56th min via a penalty converted by HUESBAUER. For Bilbao DE MARCOS got a 72nd min consolation goal.

HANNOVER 96 won LEVANTE 2 - 1 in their Group L match, & with a man less after Haggi got a red card in the 8th min. From this incident Levante got their only goal via the penalty scored by MICHEL in the 9th min. But Hannover fought back & won their own penalty in the 21st min which HUSZTI converted & then in the 49th min YA KONAN got the winner.
It was not the best of nights for Levante.
