SPANISH FOOTBALL TRANSFER RUMOURS | ALBA CLOSE TO BARÇA

The positions between VALENCIA CF & FC BARCELONA are very close in reference to the Valencia & Spanish International left-back JORDI ALBA. The rumours that Barça had Alba in mind as the "substitute" for Eric Abidal have been sounding for months & contacts have been continuous between Clubs & player.

Valencia is said to be asking for 15M€ while FC Barcelona only is offering 12€, as you can see "only" 3M€ separates the deal. There is still a long time until the start of the new 2012 - 2013 season & Valencia may wish to wait, while Barça may do the same in order to force a price drop. The risk of course is that if Spain put in a good Euro 2012 ( & wins again ) Alba´s price may rise & may attract other European Clubs that will offer a lot more.

In any case, if we take today, Alba is very close to putting on the Barça shirt for next season.
