ATLETICO DE MADRID has defeated FC BARCELONA 2 - 1 in the Final of the U-17 WORLD CLUBS CHAMPIONSHIPS being played in Madrid. The goals came early with Atletico scoring in the 10th via ARONA & in the 46th min via SAINZ. Barça then managed to grab one back in the 60th via MUNIR but Atletico held out to win the 8th edition of this prestigious U- 17 tournament.

The previous winners have been Boca Juniors ( 2 ), Sao Paulo (2), Real Madrid (1), Corinthians ( 2 ) & now Atletico de Madrid. We hope that some of theses youngsters will soon appear in the Atletico senior team to keep renewing the Club squad.
