SPANISH FOOTBALL - LEAGUE ROUND 3 | SUNDAY NIGHT RESULTS

SPANISH FOOTBALL action all day-afternoon-night with the continuation of Round 3 of the SPANISH LEAGUE. Strange  day with lots of drawn results & less goals than yesterdays 4 LIGA games. Here is a quick summary of the matches , the results & the scorers.

Rayo Vallecano laments missed penalty

Madrid Club RAYO VALLECANO will be kicking themselves as they let off the hook REAL ZARAGOZA & finished their match in a 0 - 0 draw. The big moments of note were the missed penalty by Rayo Vallecano with player JAVI FUEGO failing to convert & a controversial disallowed goal in the 93rd min which may have given the locals the three points. Bad day for Rayo!

Racing - Levante

Possibly the "boring match" of the Round with RACING DE SANTANDER - LEVANTE finishing in a 0 - 0 draw. Nothing to mention here at all except that perhaps a "Spanish siesta" would have been better.

Betis gets the winner

Sevilla Club REAL BETIS managed a last moment victory over a poor REAL MALLORCA in the 86th min when RUBEN CASTRO scored the winner. Earlier Betis hit the post via a J.Molina header in the 43rd min. Real Betis have 6 six points to date & are up there "highh" on the ladder.

Osasuna celebrate a goal

Entertaining game - thank God - between OSASUNA & REAL SPORTING DE GIJON with the home team winning 2 - 1. The goals for Osasuna came early in the 17th min via NINO & in the 29th min via CEJUDO. Osasuna relaxed a bit there after with Sporting attempting to find their game & were rewarded late with a consolation goal via DAVID BARRAL in the 75th min. Sporting however are not looking sharp or good so far,  early in the season.

Sergio Garcia scores for Espanyol

RCD ESPANYOL managed to defeated ATHLETIC DE BILBAO 2 - 1 in a very tactical game that created little chances until the end when Bilbao was "forced" to leave aside the "tactical book". Espanyol player SERGIO GARCIA scored his team both goals ( 24th & 72nd min ) when he used his "sleth" skills to outwit the Bilbao defence. Bilbao equalized precisely during their best moments via FERNANDO LLORENTE in the 62nd min, but was shook-up again by the Garcia goal.

MONDAY NIGHT GAME:
Malaga - Granada
