MESSI - RONALDO - XAVI CANDIDATES FOR THE UEFA BEST PLAYER IN EUROPE 2010-2011 AWARD

Three names are down as candidates for the first & new "UEFA Best Player in Europe" Award 2010 - 2011. The names are LIONEL MESSI (FC Barcelona) , CRISTIANO RONALDO ( Real Madrid) & XAVI HERNANDEZ (FC Barcelona). Thus Spanish Football has the honour of having all three play in its Football League (LA LIGA) & a Spanish born representative in Xavi Hernandez.

The winner will be announced along with the draw of the UEFA Champions League Groups at Montecarlo tonight. The voting was done by a team of 53 experts of the "European Sports Media" group. The other 7 names that make up the Top 10 are:
