SPANISH FOOTBALL action this early morning (Sp time) with REAL MADRID playing LA GALAXY in their first Friendly game of the season. The Spanish Football Club defeated the locales Captained by David Beckham 1 - 4 in an impressive match considering Real is full of new signings & its the start of the season.
Ronaldo scores against LA Galaxy |
Coach José Mourinho experimented & used two teams during the encounter basically changing players at half time. These were the line-ups:
Real Madrid: Casillas (Adán, 46'); Ramos (Arbeloa, 46'), Pepe (Albiol, 46'), Carvalho (Varane, 46'), Marcelo (Nacho, 46'); Granero (Xabi, 46'), Khedira (Cristiano, 46'), Coentrao (Casado, 74'); Kaká (Özil, 46'), Callejón (Jesé, 64') & Joselu (Benzema, 46')
The beamed TV highlights showed a good Real Madrid team with everyone looking relatively fit & sharp, especially the newcomers. New signing JOSE CALLEJON scored first in the 33rd min from a Kaká pass, youngster JOSELU got the second in the 39th min with some fine forward instincts, CRISTIANO RONALDO scored an individual play "blinder" in the 57th min & BENZEMA headed a fine COENTRAO pass in the 57th min. The Americans managed a consolation goal via CRISTMAN in the 66th min. Real Madrid Coach Mourinho was relatively happy as was Ronaldo in the post match interviews, with special mentions going out to Coentrao & Callejon.
Too early to draw any drastic predictive conclusions, except that Real Madrid played well, looked good & has chosen the correct pre-season working path to build themselves up before the official start of the Spanish Football season.
