| Malaga win three vital points today |
Giant step for MALAGA which defeated HERCULES 3 - 1 gaining three points to jump out of the relegation zone table positions & in the process cementing a bit more Hercules in its troubles which is second last & facing the "abyss". Once again on loan player JULIO BAPTISTA was fundamental for Malaga as he scored twice in the 4th & 75th min, along with RONDON in the 72nd min. Malaga could have put another in had Duda not missed a penalty.
Hercules scored first via VALDEZ in the 3rd min but that was their only highlight.
Unfortunately things are not looking very bright for Hercules, in fact its pitch black.

| Racing too good for Mallorca |
RACING DE SANTANDER managed to shake off the relegation zone "ghost" with an important 2 - 0 win over REAL MALLORCA. The two goal scorers for Racing was ROSENBERG in the 12th min & KENNEDY in the 42nd min. Real Mallorca missed a penalty that Ramis messed up just before the Racing second goal. If Racing defeats Hercules next week they will have assured their place next season in the Spanish League

| Renato scores for Sevilla FC |
SEVILLA FC defeated ALMERIA 0 - 1 away to virtually condemn the latter to the 2º Division. Not only was the win important to Sevilla thanks to the RENATO 57th min goal, it puts Sevilla back ahead of Atletico in their "particular" tussle for the Top "Euro places" of the Spanish League classification table.
My condolences to everyone at Almeria.

| Shared points for Sporting - Levante |
The most boring game of Spanish Football this weekend. LEVANTE & REAL SPORTING GIJON knew beforehand that a draw was enough to secure their survival in the Spanish League for next season & did very little Football. In fact their clash ended in a 0 - 0 draw result that the local crowd, whom paid to watch some afternoon entertainment, were not pleased.

| Villareal scores against Getafe |
VILLAREAL made a comeback to beat local team GETAFE 1 - 2 to put the latter in some real relegation troubles.
Getafe started well & looked like being able to take advantage of the mid week "slip" in the Europe League by Villareal & cruise to a victory. The 31st min missile goal from Getafe PEDRO RIOS set things up nicely. But things turned bad in the second half with Villareal taking control & CANI equalizing in the 60th min & then ROSSI putting the team ahead in the 74th min.
Villareal fortify their Champions League classification place, while Getafe play with fire in the relegation zone.

| Vital win for Osasuna |
OSASUNA desperately won their match against VALENCIA CF 1 - 0 to get themselves out & off the "relegation zone" of the ladder & send in Getafe in their place. Valencia are going through their own rough patch as they also see their "warm Champions League" classification chair shake.
The winner for Osasuna came in the 51st min via CEJUDO to set his team up in a strongly battled out match were Valencia missed chances. But as Osasuna would be saying..."who cares", the three points are almost life savers.
