SPANISH FOOTBALL - LA LIGA SUNDAY ROUND 28 GAMES RESULTS & SCORERS

Six games of Spanish Football today with Round 28 action of the Spanish League. There has been intense struggles this weekend especially from Clubs either attempting to avoid the relegation zone of La Liga ladder or Clubs attempting to climb into the Euro zones. Here is a summary of events, results & the scorers.

Real Sociedad - Malaga

MALAGA
are currently looking at the abyss of the 2º Division & managed a vital hope inspiring win over REAL SOCIEDAD with a 0 - 2 victory away from home. Brave & a well fought out game of Football that saw goals from DUDA in the 24th min & RONDÓN in the 57th min.

A definite spirit lifting victory for Malaga with still plenty of work ahead to avoid a possible season "disaster".

Spanish Football
Juanlu scores for Levante against Real Mallorca

LEVANTE & REAL MALLORCA shared the points with a 1 - 1 draw result. A justified result with the each team claiming to be the better in each respective halves. Levante scored via JUANLU in the 37th min & Mallorca equalized via RAMIS in the 60th min.

La Liga 2011
Ivan Alonso scores for RCD Espanyol

RCD ESPANYOL got back on the winning sheet with a well worked 2 - 0 victory over DEPORTIVO A CORUÑA who lost  Alvarez to a red card before half time . With Depor down with 10 men the second half saw goals from IVAN ALONSO in the 61st min & then later via VERDU in the 80th min with a spectacular piece of art. Espanyol with the 3 points get into Euro ladder places on the Spanish League ladder.

Soccer Spain
Osasuna celebrates goal: efe

OSASUNA
managed a valuable 3 - 1 victory over RACING DE SANTANDER, the latter losing a bit of steam in the competition after some inspiring past victories. Osasuna need points desperately to get out of the relegation danger-zone & started on fire tonight with goals from SOLA in the 19th min, NEKOUNAM in the 23rd min & SORIANO in the 49th min. Osasuna had done all the damage to Racing by the second half but the visitors managed a consolation goal thanks to ROSENBERG

Spanish League 2011
Rossi scores for Villareal

VILLAREAL managed to take advantage of a terrible mistake by REAL SPORTING DE GIJON goalkeeper Cueller in the 29th min to go ahead with the goal taken by ROSSI. Sporting reacted well to the blow but was stopped "dry" when Sporting defender Jose Angel was sent of with a red card in the 65th min ( second yellow card ) to leave his team with 10 men & at a clear disadvantage. However, Sporting bravely fought on & hit the woodwork via Nacho Novo who was unlucky not to equalize. Villareal was surprisingly losing steam towards the end & the unexpected "miracle" arrived in the 92nd min when a "doubtful" penalty was called in favour of Sporting to which DIEGO CASTRO equalized. Villareal are upset with the penalty call which they feel totally unjust , but they did let the victory slowly slip through their fingers. Final result 1 - 1 draw.

Sporting with this draw still loom close in the relegation zone area & the nerves will continue for the next coming vital matches. Villareal missed a golden opportunity to close in on third placed Valencia CF that lost last night.

La Liga 2011
Pique & Negredo

Fabulous game of Football between SEVILLA FC & FC BARCELONA with the final result being a 1 - 1 draw. This results brings rival Real Madrid closer to Barça as the gap between both at the top of the ladder is now 5 points when it was 7 points in the last Round. Along with the score-line we all witnessed some terrible referee decisions from Perez Lasa who disallowed a legitamate Messi free-kick goal in the first half & a penalty to Sevilla in the other end later.

Said all this the first half saw FC Barcelona dominate totally as Sevilla planted itself very conservative & settled to only defend. FC Barcelona player Pedro injured himself & young BOJAN came on to soon score in the 29th min from an Iniesta & Alves combination. Sevilla looked out of place & its seemed they were into a possible trashing.

But the second half changed radically, as we saw Sevilla decide to leave the defending aside & attempt to go after the match. Navas was put into his natural position, Negredo more upfront & Kanoute came on to lift Sevilla along with Perotti later. The equalizer came in the 48th min when JESUS NAVAS fired home & finished a great piece of counter-attacking Football. Sevilla took totally over & had three clear chances to score again, with one occasion that had Barça keeper Valdes save his team stopping with his leg a ball that had goal written on it from Navas.

Sevilla "allowed" Barça off the hook & the visitors made a last attempt to win, with Iniesta hitting the bar with minutes left & later Sevilla clearing a goal chance off the line.

End result a draw, a marvellous match & a Spanish Football League that is now more alive than before.

Tomorrow night Round 28 of the Spanish League finishes with the GETAFE  - ATHLETIC DE BILBAO match
