SPANISH FOOTBALL LEADING GOAL SCORER - EL PICHICHI - AFTER ROUND 25 SEASON 2010-2011

Firstly , please accept my apologies for the Spanish Football League Leading Goal-scorer "widget" on the right hand side. I have contacted the Football website that they are not updating the goal scoring tally & they have not responded. The site in question -  "Footbo.com" -  has been losing its "attraction" for some months with some poor service that leaves you wondering why they are still operating. I will keep the widget up in hope that they react & begin updating again.

Until then allow me to inform you how the goal scoring situation is with La Liga. With 25 Rounds played of the Spanish League & 13 Round left to go, here is the Spanish Football - El Pichichi - Current Leading Goal -scoring tally:

Lionel Messi 

Goal Scoring tally after Round 25 of LA LIGA 2010-2011:

1. Lionel Messi ( FC Barcelona) - 26 goals
2. Cristiano Ronaldo ( Real Madrid CF ) - 25 goals
3. David Villa ( FC Barcelona ) - 17 goals
4. Fernando Llorente ( At. Bilbao) - 14 goals
5. Pedro ( FC Barcelona ) - 13 goals
6. Rossi ( Villareal ) - 12 goals
7. Nilmar ( Villareal ) - 11 goals

There is a small "controversy" concerning Cristiano Ronaldo & his "official" goal figure. Some media give Ronaldo 25 goals while others give the Real Madrid player 24 goals. There is debate whether a goal that hit follow team-mate & defender Pepe should be given to Ronaldo or not. I have checked the LFP ( Liga de Futbol Profesional ) & they do not make any reference. Therefore I put 25 because the majority of the media checked gives this figure.
