Belgium Club BRUGAS lost their Group D match against VILLAREAL 1 - 2. The Spanish Club with this victory finishes Top of the Group & assures its place in next Fridays UEFA draw for the next stage of the competition. It was the Belgium side that scored first in the 28th min via KOUEMAHA that saw the immediate reaction from Villareal with two goals from ROSSI in the 30th min & a penalty transformation in the 34th min. Villareal held on until the end.

Different situation at SEVILLA FC who needed a draw or a win to assure their place onto the next stage. They meet German side BORRUSIA DORTMUND in their Group J clash. The game was played down to the last moment with Sevilla managing to get a 2 - 2 draw.
The Germans started strong with a 4th min goal from KOUGAWA that set the nerves throughout the Spanish team. But Sevilla recovered from the early shock & managed a "magic moment" which gave them 2 quick goals in the 30th & 34th min via ROMARIC & KANOUTE. But The Germans managed to equalize in the 49th min via SUBODIC in the 2ยบ half that brought back the nerves & the doubts to Sevilla. From here Dortmund attempt to score the winner & even managed to put on the ground up to 5 attacking players, but Sevilla defended well & kept them out to grab the draw & stay alive in the competition.
Tomorrow Atletico de Madrid plays their Group match against Bayern Leverkusen & they need to win their game , & on the otherhand to have Greek side Aris Salonica not win their game in order for At Madrid to stay alive. A difficult situation. Tweet
