Last scheduled match played tonight as part of Round 10 of the Spanish League - La Liga, with two "a priori" contenders head to head to give us the Monday Spanish Soccer fix.
Alvaro Negredo |
SEVILLA FC hosted VALENCIA CF & the former won 2 - 0 to take the air out off Valencia who promised a lot at the start of the season. But the match was heavily influenced & marred when in the 25th min Valencia Turkish midfielder Topal was directly sent off with a red card for a nasty tackle on Sevilla defender Caceres. With Valencia down to 10 men, Sevilla smelt blood & went in for the kill.
The first attack & goal came in the 54th min when NEGREDO fired home. With the home side dominating the second & sealer came in the 77th min via ALFARO.
The Sevilla win closes the classification ladder gap between both & puts them even on points with 17 each. Valencia should be concerned as their earlier promising results & play are not living up to the expectations.
