DAVID SILVA COULD REPLACE TORRES IN SPAIN WORLD CUP TEAM STARTING 11 AGAINST GERMANY

The very latest from the SPANISH FOOTBALL TEAM is that there may be changes in the starting 11 line up against Germany in Wednesday’s semi-final World Cup game. Everyone can see that forward FERNANDO TORRES hasn’t yet regained his rhythm & form after recovering from his knee operation. Many observers feel that, although his talent is unquestioned, his position should be given to another player who can contribute much more to the team.

Spanish National selector & Coach Vicente Del Bosque may have hinted that Torres could be left out in yesterday’s press conference when he said that although Torres is Spain’s undisputed striker that NO ONE has a place secured in the side. This “signal” has been well noted along with the observation that Spain may wish to strengthen further its midfield against the Germans. The idea is clear; contain the German counter-attacks, put the Germans back into their half of the field, keep control of the ball & when the openings are created attack in “waves”.

The person being spoken to take the place of Fernando Torres is DAVID SILVA, with Cesc Fabregas a second option. Thus at this early stage & with rumour & speculation the name of the game as both sides hides their playing cards, the SPANISH FOOTBALL TEAM STARTING 11 AGAINST GERMANY may look like this:

Casillas, Ramos, Pique, Puyol, Capdevila, Busquets, Xabi Alonso, Xavi, David Silva ( or Cesc Fabregas), Iniesta & David Villa

As said, this is pure speculation at this point!
