As habitual this time of the year Football player names are flying around & said to be in the orbit of REAL MADRID: Maicon, Kolarov, Steven Gerrard, Jesús Navas, Di Maria, David Silva, Pedro Leon, Di Rossi...bla bla bla.
But how about this for a name; YOANN GOURCUFF?

This is just a personal hunch. The name is not being splashed on the front-pages of the Spanish Sports dailys at all - not as yet. The player is a soon to be 24 year old French midfield player with FC GIRONDINS, with a AC Milan past that was´nt successful due to his young age, but has exploded last season in the French League. Super talented & compared with Zidane, the young player is "ripe" to make the jump to a League like the Spanish & finally jump in a big way onto the World Football stage.
Real Madrid President Florentino Perez mentioned him yesterday in a online chat interview with fans when asked about Gourcuff. The Real Madrid President acknowledged that the Club has been foillowing the player for sometime & that he thinks he is a real talent. I have no doubt that Real Madrid Presidential advisor Zinedine Zidane is aware of this player & has already advised the Club that Gourcuff is "special".
While Steven Gerrard , Di Rossi, Frank Lampard ...take the limelight for the much wanted midfielder by new Real Madrid Coach José Mourinho, we may be surprised to see how Real Madrid attempts to lure this French Football pearl. As I have said, its only a hunch!

i swear to god i have been dreaming of that transfer since he was still playin in milan....he is the player we should have bought not kaka.....as much as i like kaka, he is past his prime as we have seen last year...yoan can give us a solid 6 year performance and is about a quarter of the price.
i even thought of starting an online petition to sign him!

If I were Florentino Pérez I would buy Gourcuff now but have him join Real Madrid CF next season. I think one more year of professional football would do him well before joining Real, especially since Real always expects their star signings to hit the ground running once they start playing in Spain.
