From England & its newspaper the “Daily Mail” we get news that CHELSEA FC & MANCHESTER CITY has Valencia CF & Spanish International forward DAVID VILLA as a top priority for next season. This is a recurring announcement as Chelsea in particular tried without luck last year & has never stopped thinking with Villa. However, there may well be stiff competition from FC BARCELONA & it is rumoured REAL MADRID is an option as well, the latter thinking in attempting again their failed operation last season.
What is clear is the David Villa with his 28 years of age, perfectly realizes that this could be his last opportunity to play in a “BIG” team, win mayor titles & do his thing on the mayor Champions League stage. His Club Valencia CF owe it to him after they “blocked” the opportunity last summer for Villa to land at Real or at Barça & they could also use the money.
It is rumoured the both mentioned English Clubs have signalled a 45M€ transfer price for the Spanish forward. David Villa has commented that he looks favourably to play outside Spain, but his preference is to stay in Spain for family reasons. Either way, the forward will not make a decision until the end of Spain’s participation in this years South African World Cup. Here, if Villa shines brightly as a star, the 45M€ price figure could finally fall short. Stay tuned!
