SPANISH FOOTBALL - LA LIGA 2009 / 2010 - ROUND 13 SUNDAY GAMES RESULTS

"La Liga" continued with the remaining Round 13 games in action
today.

MALLORCA continues winning in its home ground with a 2ºhalf
"white-wash" over REAL ZARAGOZA & a 4-1 victory. Mallorca
forward ADURIZ got things going with two goals (37th & 67th min)
along with team mates SUAREZ in the 74th min & KEITA in the
77th min getting on the score sheet. Real Zaragoza player HERRERA

got his teams consolation goal in the 85th min.

MALAGA managed its 4th consecutive draw against OSASUNA with a
1-1 result. The home team deserved more but didn´t take its chances.
Osasuna got ahead first with a goal by MASOUD in the 47th min that

was matched by APOÑO in the 83rd min for Malaga.

VILLAREAL put in a "gutsy" performance coming back on various
occasions to neutralize GETAFE & finally win 3-2. The man of the
match was Villareal & Spanish International defender CAPDEVILA
who scored twice (17th & 83rd min). He was joined on the scoring
sheet by CARZOLA who got his goal in the 67th min & put in a good
game after returning from injury.

Getafe will be disappointed as the goals by LEON in the 3rd min
& SOLDADO (penalty) in the 52nd min was not enough.

RACING DE SANTANDER managed a 4-0 win over home side ESPANYOL
& its first victory in 10 games. The goals came from HENRIQUE, TCHITE
& young 18 year old discovery CANALES who scored two. The young
Santander promise is catching the eye of most people & is evolving into
a promising future player.

TENERIFE came back after REAL SPORTING DE GIJÓN forward
CASTRO scored first in the 3rd min. From here a tough match &
well fought by Tenerife to claw back with goals from RICARDO in
the 55th min & NINO in the 66th min. Tenerife needed this win
desperately & Gijón will be disappointed to let it slip through their
fingers. Final result 2-1.

ATHLETIC DE BILBAO
went down 10 men in the 73rd min due to a Red
Card to Koikili & that could have been the element needed to give
VALENCIA a 1-2 victory when MATHIEU scored the winner for Valencia
in the 83rd min. Earlier Bilbao scored first with a goal from its young
star MUNIAIN that was answered by the current leading Spanish League
goalscorer DAVID VILLA in the 60th min.

An intense, exciting & nail baiting clash that gives Valencia the 3 points
to
stay in touch with Sevilla FC, Real Madrid & Barça. Next week
another test: Real Madrid
