LEAGUE Groups, waving the flag with respectable results, with one
saying "goodbye" to the Champions League with their heads held
high.
REAL MADRID visited AC MILAN for their Group C game & showed a
marked improvement in their play. Real started with Raúl on the bench,
which gave Benzema & Higuain the forward responsabilities. They
were firmly in control, playing the "best" for some while dominating
when BENZEMA scored in the 28th min as shown in the below VIDEO:
Benzema 28th min
Then AC Milan reacted & in an opportunistic play, the Italians managed
a penalty when Pepe hand-balled to which RONALDINHO converted in
the 35th min, as shown on the VIDEO:
Ronaldinho 34th min (p)
From here both sides tried hard with PATO causing the most danger for
the Italians while LASS DIARRA was outsatnding with defensive duties.
Raul & Van Nistelrooy came on late & the former nearly scored the
winner, but Dida stopped in spectacular fashion.
Final result a 1-1 draw, were Real now needs to win its next two
games, & were we witnessed the Spanish team improve in its
performance which is good news.
ATLETICO DE MADRID went out of the Champions League Competition
with improvements & with its head held well high after finishing in a
2-2 draw against CHELSEA FC in their Group D clash
The 1ºst half saw both side play a very tactical & strong game with
Atletico de Madrid holding firm. Then SERGIO AGUERO came on in the
2ºhalf & changed the match for the Spaniards when he put them
ahead with a "cracker" as shown below in the VIDEO:
Aguero 66th min

But the lack of European experience, the much cited defensive mistakes
& two changes by Chelsea Coach Ancelotti (Deco & Anelka) turned
things for the English with DROGBA "destroying" the Atletico defence with
a perfect header in the 82nd min to equalize & the 88th min with a grand
personal play to put his team ahead.

But it wasn´t over as yet. Atletico won a free kick in the 91st min &
SERGIO AGUERO converted a brilliant shot into a goal for the
equalizer & final result. A gutsy performance!
A few things to finish in reference to Atletico; they showed
improvement which should lift confidence & spirits for their local
competition, Antonio Reyes played & did a good job, & Aguero
was the star which should lift his price & make him even more
attractive for Chelsea who are rumoured to be thinking in making
a big offer for the Argentine. Tweet
