MADRID 23 year old defender MIGUEL TORRES has given his OK
to move to ATLETICO DE MADRID, as he is one of the few
players still left in the Real Madrid squad that the Club wish to
find him an alternative.

Atletico has been having defensive problems for sometime that need
an urgent solution, especially on the right & left hand sides. Atletico
Coach Abel Resino sees Miguel Torres as a solution because he can
adapt himself perfectly to either side according to need; add to
which his young age & already gained experience is a big plus. Now
it is up the Atletico de Madrid directives to decide if they make a
formal move & go after the Real Madrid defender. SFS presupposes
that it all will boil down to the economic factor, an area in which
Atletico received a 20M€ boost to its accounts after securing its
place in this years UEFA Champions League.
