be sold unless his Club receives an offer of between 50-55 M€, FC
BARCELONA President Laporta has spoken out this afternoon.

FC Barcelona will not go beyond the supposed 42M€ offer already
made for Villa & they are already looking at alternatives. One of
those alternatives that comes back into the limelight is ATLETICO
DE MADRID Forward DIEGO FORLAN who has a contract release
clause of 36M€ + VAT. It has long been speculated that the 30 year
old forward Diego Forlan has always been Barça President Laporta´s
favourite choice, independently of the wishes of his technical team
who initially asked for Karim Benzema (now Real Madrid & later David
Villa.
The Barça President has also said that they will not go crazy with
signings & already have the nucleus of young players & the team that
won the “Big 3”. This in itself should not be comforting as they are
the only team, along with newly ascended Jerez, that haven’t made
a signing as yet, giving indications that things aren’t all that sunny at
Camp Barça & that the money purses maybe breeding some moths.
