now taking the limelight after REAL MADRID has shown its alternative
preference with the signing of KARIM BENZEMA. SFS will now give
below a full summary, in point form, on the situation with two sections:
pre- Benzema & post - Benzema. Hopefully the SFS readers will find

complicated operation which still has a long way to go.
Pre- Benzema:
. Valencia CF cannot pay Villa´s contractual salary due to its economic
difficulties & gives him permission to find a new Club.
. Villa finds Real Madrid
. Villa choses & agrees with Real Madrid for 5 years
. Real Madrid shuts deal with Valencia CF – 42M€ (includes player
Negredo)
. Valencia CF in the last moment asks for more, goes back on their
word & claim Villa is NOT for sale
. Major uproar at Valencia CF by the social masses against the sale
of Villa & the “arrogance” of Real Madrid
. Real Madrid are upset with Valencia CF for going back on their
word & wait to see if Villa goes out publicly to say he wishes to go
to Real Madrid & force his Club to change view.
. Villa doesn’t explicitly do anything to let people know his
intensions, although it’s common knowledge that his desires
Real Madrid
. Real Madrid seeing no “real” fighting spirit or desire from Villa,
withdraws from the operation to avoiding conflicts with Valencia
CF & decides to exercise the option Karim Benzema
. Many suspect that David Villa never really was a Top Priority for
Real Madrid
. David Villa is disillusioned with Real Madrid for not “fighting” for
his services, lifting the offer to secure him & for withdrawing so
early.
. FC BARCELONA see the chance & the path clear to go after David
Villa & meets with player & representative to shut an agreement
between player & FC BARCELONA
Post-Benzema:
According to Barcelona based Sporting daily “Sport” there is total
agreement with David Villa & have disclose the conclusions from
the above meeting & the deal.
. David Villa has telephoned Valencia CF to say he desires to leave
for FC Barcelona
. His representative Jose Luis Tamargo will be the only person to talk
with Valencia CF. Villa wishes to avoid “conflict” directly with
Valencia
. The objective of Villa´s representative is to convince Valencia of
his player’s desire
.FC Barcelona offer a contract until 2014
.FC Barcelona offers a 7.5M€/year salary
.FC Barcelona adds extras to salary per incentives…titles etc
.FC Barcelona puts a contract release clause of 120M€
Now FC BARCELONA must approach VALENCIA FC (contractual owner
of Villa) & make the offer. Something that today Valencia CF
President Llorente said he still hasn´t seen.
.However "Sport" claims FC Barcelona plan to offer cash 40M€
&/or the loan of Brazilian new signing & player Keirrison or loan of
defender Martin Caceres.
However, there are problems before it begins. VALENCIA CF is very
angry & upset with FC BARCELONA for negotiating with DAVID VILLA
without their knowledge & consent & will transmit their annoyance
to Barcelona. They have once again announced that their player
David Villa is NOT for sale.
This has a long road still to go; anything can happen …SFS will keep

a well known and popular journalist in spain and england called guillem balague said long time ago in january that barca had reached a verbal agreement with villa to go to barca , as they wanted to sell eto'o and told him to wait until this happens , he was adamant about this and said this throughout the season. i also remember the player himself saying he would fit perfectly in the barca line up and would love to play with messi. i dont know if u heard this but cuz u are from madrid u may hear more of the real desire, and thats probably why he did not make too much a fuss about going to madrid and did not force it as he knew barca wanted him and he did not mind where he went too much as long as it was out of valencia.

Yes, We In MADRID, know all about this. YES, Villa had given an OK to Barça as you correctly say BUT BARÇA did not execute the option, they let pass the idea.
This show initailly that Villa was not a priority for FCB, & thats when Real stepped in & VILLA then agreed 100% to go there for a 5 year contract. The DEAL was shut with player-Club - RM...but Valencia CF went back on the agreement.
There is lots of things happening around Villa, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid CF...etc. One source says the BIG problem is his agent who uses "unorthodox" methods. Last year Villa was also about to sign with Real Madrid (AGAIN) & the sametime happened.
