It was the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, SPAIN meet BRAZIL in its
Group D game. Spain had on paper one of the most impressive
teams in its history & the expectations were high until the came
across Referee Christopher Bambridge & the bad luck that had
followed the National Side until recent times.
The game finished 0-1 in Brazil´s favour but the “phantom” goal
by Real Madrid winger MICHEL was disallowed when it clearly was
& that was just the beginning of a series of mistakes in this
particular match that has gone down along with others in Spanish
