MADRID line of thought – to say the least – as does its equivalent “Sport”
in Barcelona. The former has been very active of late in publishing ongoing
news on the new signings that ex Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has
up his sleeves if he gets re-elected next June in the Clubs Presidential elections.
The funny thing is – although everyone takes it as a given – is that Mr.Perez
hasn’t presented his candidacy & hasn’t said a word. Plus all the mentioned
“in the bag” signings like Cristiano Ronaldo & Kaka, or in their absence their
Clubs, have said publicly that there are no truths to the rumoured stories
coming out of Spain & particular this Sports paper.

Independently that AC MILAN Directive Galliani said yesterday that Kaka
was not for sale, the Spanish daily “AS” continues on its merry way today
publishing more details about the REAL MADRID – KAKA operation that
they insist is being held & being negotiated. Apparently the 27 year old
Brazilian star asks for a 9M€ (net) salary per year, that is 3M€ more than
what he earns at AC Milan. His father & representative Bosco Leite who is
handling the negotiations has asked for a cool 8M€ in commissions. Finally,
the Spanish paper insists that Mr.Perez & Mr. Galliani are talking, although
both will never admit it for the moment. The Italian Club needs to inject itself
with finance & has asked for 85M€ for Kaka, Mr.Perez is only willing to pay
60M€, thus the pull & push of the negotiations at this point that if successful
will probably end up being & finishing around 70-75M€.
So there you go a folk, that’s the run down. Believe it?
