totally wide open.
ATHLETIC DE BILBAO & REAL SPORTING DE GIJON finished in
a 0-0 draw. Bilbao missed a penalty - that wasn´t - in the 28th min
when Llorente miscued. The game was end to end stuff with each
having their chances, but a touch of conservatism entered both sides
towards the end. Athletic will be disappointed as they had the home
advantage & didn´t capitalise. Sporting will be confident & know they
have a chance in front of their fans. Should be exciting stuff next week.
MALLORCA won 1-0 REAL BETIS with goal from KEITA (above),
& deserved the victory as they always looked better side & had the initiative.
Real Betis were uncomfortable & perhaps thinking in limiting any damage,
to go into the 2ºleg with the home advantage. This is still a wide open tie &
both teams have the opportunity to settle & go into the semis. We will have
