EURO 2008 FINAL: SPAIN SUMMONDS THE SPIRIT OF 1964

In was 44 years ago that SPAIN won the European Nations Cup
(1964) against Russia, with an extraordinary team full of talent:

Iríbar; Rivilla, Olivella, Zoco, Calleja; Fusté, Suárez; Amancio,
Pereda, Marcelino y Lapetra.

Below you can see an image of that team celebrating its 2-1 victory,
& with the coverted Silver Cup in their hands.

Today, 20.45 at Vienna (Austria) & against the mighty GERMANY,
SPAIN has a chance to repeat & place their hands on the prized
Silver Cup if they manage to defeat the Germans in the final of
the European Nations Cups of 2008.

The team is different this time around obviously (from left to right;
top to bottom):

Casillas, Marchena, Capdevila, S.Ramos, Senna, F.Torres, D.Silva,

Iniesta, C.Fabregas, Xavi & Puyol ;

but just as talented & eager to write a page in Football history. Let´s

hope the same spirit that hoovered with the Spanish side of 1964 is

present with the 2008 National team tonight. Let´s scream from Spain,
"GO BOYS...& GOOD LUCK" & may your (our) dreams come true.
