Got to say this game was superb for a neutralist. Being 3-2 down, Sevilla needed goals and they got them plenty. Even when Deivid scored to reduce the deficit Sevilla pulled another and it was from this point that they should have taken the game further to Fenerbahce. However I sensed they were content to sit on this aggregate lead and came stuck through Deivid again, poor defending and awareness cost them.
Having won the UEFA Cup via penalties, it was not 2nd time lucky. Alves wasnt in the final but that doesnt take away the required responsibility to deposit penalties importantly. I think a player has to compensate for the keeper going the right way and look to score off him rather than past him. Others choose to be clever but it is not guaranteed as it looks to score from 12 yards.
