SPANISH CUP 2008 SEMI FINAL - 1º LEG : FC BARCELONA 1 - VALENCIA CF 1

The 1º game of the Spanish Cup semi final has finished with
FC BARCELONA 1 - VALENCIA CF 1 . A draw that went right
down to the wire with Barça scoring in the very last moment &

it a controversial manner.

The game was a one way affair with Barça dominating & overrunning
the Valencia goal , the TV commentator said at one stage nearing the
end that Barcelona had shot 18 times to Valencia´s 1, but that one shot
was Valencia´s goal thanks to DAVID VILLA scoring from a Arizmendi
pass in the 69th min.

Then with one minute left a Barça last ditch attack saw an apparent handball
from Samuel Eto´o that went outside the box to have XAVI HERNANDEZ
( pictured below) drive the ball into the Valencia net & save Barcelona from
defeat. The Valencia players criticised the decision but it stood.

Real Spanish Cup stuff , a cliff hanger to the end. Now the decider will be the
2º leg at Valencia & it promises to be a real cracker of a match.

Tomorrow the 2º semi -final 1º leg game between Getafe & Racing
de Santander, surf into SFS for the result, scorers & images.
