Hi Striker, great work as ever.

I would swap Spain's fourth place ranking and qualification for Euro 2008 rather than England's fall and failure to qualify!

I've noticed that Cesc is now starting to command a regular first team place for Spain. I look forward to seeing how he plays in Euro 2008 - and to see if he plays as central a role for Spain as he does for Arsenal. Personally I hope he settles into the Spain team as well as he has the Arsenal team and that they both thrive next summer.

Thanks T for your kind words.
Yes Cesc is coming of age. However he has said locally that he still has a way to go at National level. I think he is modest & will develope into a vital & key player for the National side.
He is an exceptional young player.

In the England case, they maybe suffering from the "overdose" of overseas players in the Premier League. Its a Spanish League "disease" as well which plays a factor in big time finals

Cheers
Striker

Scotsman in peace. I would just like to say that I feel no malice towards spain even though the referee was ridiculous in the scotland vs italy match. I realize these were the actions of one individual & i wish Spain all the best in 2008. Let's hope they can finally live up to their potential!

I´ve always suspected of these rankings. Just an example referred to this particular one: How come Argentina is on top of Brasil? The last time they played against each other was this past summer. It was the America`s Cup Final. The score was 3-0 in favour of Brasil.
Any logical explanation?
