by Spanish raider JORGE LORENZO ( pictured below) in the 250cc
catagory. His 3º place at the Malaysian Moto Gp was enough to
mathematically ensure that he repite back to back titles.

The two time 250cc World Champion Lorenzo will now make the jump
to GP next year & will ride with Valentino Rossi in the Yamaha team.
The final race results saw a great race by Japanese rider Aoyama
who came in 1º ahead of another Spaniard H. Barberá who did an
excellent race & came in 2º. Dovizioso who was attempting to delay
Lorenzo´s celebrating fell in the race.
World Championships points table:
1. Lorenzo 287pts; 2. Dovizioso 242 pts; 3. De Angelis 215pts

Not so good news for Spaniard H.FAUBEL in the 125cc catagory, his 3º
place allowed his rival Talmacsi to open a 10 point gap in the title race,
after the latter won todays race. Japanese ride Tomoyoshi was rewarded
with the 2º place after a great race. With 1º more race left in the season
Talmacsi is in the box seat to take the 125 cc title.
World Championship points table:
1. Talmacsi 262pts; 2.Faubel 252pts; 3. Koyama 186pts

The Gp catagory saw newly claimed World Champion Casey Stoner
dominate the race & win. Italian Marco Melandri turned in a grand
performance to come in 2º ahead of Spaniard DANI PEDROSA who
again had tire problems.
