SPANISH FOOTBALL NEWS

No "Liga" this weekend due to the Euro 2008 clashes,
so its a great opportunity for injuried palyers to get in
shape & for "reserves" to stay in form via friendly
games locally.

ARJEN ROBBEN
is coming along nicely in his particular
trainning sessions & is now touching the ball. Robben
is gaining muscle mass on his left leg to compensate his

right after pass long periods recovering from his injury.
It is said that he maybe able to make his debut for
REAL
MADRID
against Almeria in the 4th round.

Good news at "Camp Barça" with its captain CARLES
PUYOL developing nicely from his injury. It is expected
that Puyol could make an appearance with his team around
the end of Sept or early Oct.

At Barcelona they are happy, as seen below in the
cartoon section of "Mundo Deportivo". It says...
"finally we are together"

Lastly, ex- FC BARCELONA player THIAGO MOTTA
was the best player on the ground for his new team
ATLETICO DE MADRID, which played a friendly
with lower division team ZAMORA. Great news for
Atletico, but the result of a 0-0 draw highlights
the work the team needs still, although the team
line up was full of reserves. Lots of missed chances
& a performance that left many disappointed from
a team of Atletico´s catagory & big names.

Dont forget the big clash tomorrow between ICELAND
& SPAIN in their EURO 2008 qualifier. Spain must win!
