The operation has cost Real 12,5M€ & the player signs for 4 seasons.
Real can now fill the left back position left vacant by Roberto Carlos´s
departure & allow Drenthe to play in the midfield were he is more
lethal. SFS thinks its a good signning, Heinze is a recognized World
class player.
The player will now need to pass the medical exam & be officially presented

A busy day for Madrid. It sounds like Chelsea has finally agreed to a fee for Robben, and Cicinho was offloaded to Roma.
Sneijder, Drenthe and now Robben means that Madrid finally have some left feet, and they're all Dutchies! (Hopefully Diarra will be able to make friends)
Robbens a good signing but Heinze isn't. He's old and got no skill. Torres, Drenthe and Marcelo are way better than him. I just hope Robben doesn't take the no.11 jersey. no.11's reserved for Samir Nasri.
Although Heinze looked poor last year with Man Utd, I thought he looked really good with Argentina in the Copa America - solid defending and good at pushing the ball forward up the left flank. With Sergio Ramos doing the same on the right, I think this could be a major shift for the Madrid defense.
Robben, on the other hand, is a bit confusing in tandem with Heinze. Heinze at left back means Drenthe plays left wing, which means Robinho goes to the right, and with Diarra and presumably either Guti or Sneijder in the center-mid, where does Robben go? Or does Drenthe sit out? Maybe Drenthe on the left wing, Robben on the right, and Robinho up front with van Nistelrooy? any thoughts?
I these signings are all about the depth of the squad more than anything. now we got atleast two players in every position.
