SPAIN began its journey in the U/17 World Championships in
Sth.Korea, with a well fought 2- 4 victory in its openning Group
C game against HONDURAS. The current European Champs
share the Group with the powerful Argentina & Syria.
The 1º half was even, & Spain made a double change in the 2º
half to attempt to introduce some speed in the team. It worked in the
case of Villareal youngster JORDI who scored twice & lead the team
to victory.
The main protagonist, however, was 16 year old FC BARCELONA
forward BOJAN ( pictured) who also got on the scoresheet with 2
valuable goals. Big things are expected from the player & this is the
perfect stage to show his talents.
Overall, great start for Spain who will meet SYRIA next Wednesday
in its Group C game. More details below:

I think Spain has a fantastic team along with Argentina. This is a good beginning and I hope they go further in the competition.
