BAYERN MUNICH played FC BARCELONA in the inaugural 1º
"Franz Beckenbauer Cup" & tribute game, for retiring Bayern leyend
MELMET SCHOLL ( pictured below) after 15 years at the German
Club.

Entertaining game that gave everyone the chance to see all the new
Bayern signnings ( eg. Ribery) & all the stars of Barça & their exciting
new line -up.
End to end stuff , with Barça dominating the ball & Bayern attempting
to surprise via the counter-attack. Fairly even game overall, until
Argentine star MESSI scored a fabulous goal in the 84m to give Barça
the only & the winning goal.
