The local press has stormed FC Barcelona with criticism after
losing 4-0 against Getafe, to be knocked out of the semis in the
Spanish Cup after they arrived at the 2ยบ leg with a 5-2 aggregate
advantage.
"The Miracle in Getafe" should not take away any merit from
Getafe who played a perfect & intelligente game.

Hi Striker.
I watched this game from start to finish and was enthralled by Getafe, as equally as I was at Barcelona's inept movement. Liverpool had a 0-3 lead from their Champion League 1st leg tie at PSV and the press were stating that we were already into the semi finals. 'Anything can happen in football' is my saying, and Benitez said that Liverpool had to be professional and not take anything for granted.
Getafe showed that even a 3-goal aggregate can be overturned, and how, even with a team like Barcelona. This also emphasises how Chelsea could lose to Liverpool, despite being some 20pts ahead of them in the league. It is not the reputation of the club nor the skills and talents of the players that win games necessarily. It is the players who turn up on the night, how they are focused, how the manager gears them for the game, that gains victory.
