However, we witnessed a miracle & brilliant game from GETAFE
who defeated FC BARCELONA 4-0 to go into the final of the
SPANISH CUP, & will play SEVILLE FC on the 23rd of May at
the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium in Madrid.
Bernd Schuster had made comments in the press that
the miracle was possible, & he was right.
CASQUERO - pictured above - openned the scoring with a
brilliant goal. The rest come from GUIZA with 2 goals &
DORADO.
BERND SCHUSTER could not contain his joy as his team pulled
the magic out of the hat & grabbed a historical victory & go into
the Spanish Cup final for the 1º time in its history.
FC Barcelona played their worst game in a long time, totally
shell shocked & confused. This is a terrible blow for them &
puts extreme pressure on them in their League Title aspirations.
They must win every game, as they have Real Madrid 2 points

Should I say Rijkaard is losing it? Should I say the players earn too much and don't care what the fans have to spend and lose, because they cannot win and they don’t want to win? What ever the case, this really is a hard one to digest and I will be honest, I have never seen Schuster that happy before.
I knew it was not going to go well, when my other half told me,
"... Tonight there will be no watching football in this house..."
When I switched over to the sports channel and saw the scores, just a few minutes before the match ended, the only consolation I had was my beer.
I am sorry, but I am not sure Barca would win la Liga. I am not sure Ronnie would be Barca’s highest goal scorer this season. I am no sure Rijkaard would be in Barca next season and I bare not start talking about how many other players would leave.

You are right striker. We should not take away all the credit from Getafe. I have just watched the highlights again and they were good.
Let us look at it this way. If Getafe did not qualify for the finals, they would always be remembered as the team that conceived the best goal of the decade by wonder boy Messi. With a 4-0 win over Barca, we will remember them as the team, which gave Barca its worst defeat in the 2006/2007 season.
I didn't see the whole game I admit - so credit to Getafe, but I can see some really terrible goalkeeping and defending from Barca in the highlights.
As a Real supporter, I still think Barca have the best chance of winning la liga. In fact after this defeat I think they will be more motivated to come back strongly, not to mention they will be better rested to concentrate on league games now instead of having the pressure of the cup.
Good point Evo. If they solely concentrate on la liga they will be hard to knock off top spot. Lets not forget that Real also feels pressure, as they must win all their games!
