SPANISH FOOTBALL- "LA LIGA" - SUNDAY ROUND 29/ 07 GAMES RESULTS

The Spanish 1º Division - "La Liga" is RED HOT tonight after
REAL MADRID won & is only 2 points behind Barça & 1 point
behind Seville FC. The "dream" of a historical comeback & win
the title is a reality , as SEVILLE FC again missed the opprtunity

to take top spot & escape from Barça after drawing 0-0.

REAL MADRID played in form UEFA "killers" OSASUNA &
won 2-0. The team was serious & played well, with Emerson
doing well & supplying RAUL the ball to score the 1º goal ( seen
celebrating below). In the second half ROBINHO secured the
points scoring in the 79m. Real is back in the race, playing badly,
but in there with a chance, as its rivals feel the pressure

SEVILLE FC had the chance to grab top spot & race away,
however, once again, it missed the opportunity & drew 0-0

to RACING. It seems that Seville has the UEFA Cup & Spanish
Cup in mind & maybe its diverting its League attention.

DEPORTIVO grabbed 3 valuable points by defeating
GIMNASTIC 1-0 with goal from IAGO ( pictured below)

MALLORCA is doing well getting away from the relegation zone
with a 2-0 victory over GETAFE.

ESPANYOL puts another nail into the REAL SOCIEDAD
coffin with its 1-0 victory. Real is looking into the barrel
of 2º Division; tough task to get out.

Other important scores is RECREATIVO´s 4 -2 win
over a dangerously close to relegation zone , CELTA
DE VIGO. Great match with 6 goals , of which 4 came
in the last 10mts.

REAL BETIS drew 1-1 with LEVANTE. Betis is crawling
out of the danger zone with consistent draws which is giving
them valuable points. Not the same with Levante who are
in danger.

VILLAREAL lost to ATLETICO DE MADRID 0-1 with goal by
F.ELLER ( pictured scoring with his head). Atletico could have
added more but Torres missed another penalty. Atletico hang on
to the 6th spot & the Euro zone.

Goal average could be decisive at the end of the season. Real Madrid has an advantage over Barcelona in this matter. Sevilla and Valencia have to visit Bernabeu. Madrid lost in Sevilla with only one goal difference and won in their visit to Valencia

The dream is now a racional reality!

A dream is a dream. And we´ll keep on dreamin´... But I still think that Barcelona & Sevilla, specially Barcelona, stand a better chance. Valencia depends on their Champions performance. Playing against Chelsea is a hard task, even if they win. And next on line are Liverpool (trained by their former coach) They should be carefull, for the 4th place, with Zaragoza. Who not only are playing consistent good football, but are also the best team (with Racing Santander) in this second leg of the season. By the way, Real Madrid visits Racing this coming Saturday... Will the sick confirm their rehab? Or there will be a relapse?

Very tough nut to crack will be Racing. Evey game is a final for Real.
Will they stand the "pressure"?

Just finished watching the game, I thought Osasuna looked tired and gave us an easy game. Credit, as is often the case to Casillas who made some lovely saves. Ricardo also made some really great saves, so we had plenty of chances too.

On the whole a good game I thought - certainly not as painful to watch as many of the Real games recently.

Robinho still looking good for the most part 3 goals in 3 games now - when he's like this you can see the fear in the defenders. He just needs to learn to make the right decision regarding his passes and shots (C.Ronaldo was the same a couple years ago, always losing the ball).

One thing Real are used to is pressure especially in home games. I am optimistic.
