SPANISH FOOTBALL. RESULTS & VIDEO OF YESTERDAYS ROUND 29/ 07 GAMES ( ZARAGOZA-BARCELONA & AT.BILBAO-VALENCIA CF)

Two games played yesterday in Round 29 of "La Liga", 2
games which may have consequences at the end of the season
in the Championship race.

REAL ZARAGOZA played FC BARCELONA at home & defeated
1- 0 a "disappointing" Barça that has allowed its rivales Seville FC
& Real Madrid the chance to get closer, so much so, that if Seville
win tonight they will grab the top spot away from Barça.
Zaragoza played very well all night & DIEGO MILITO scored the
only goal to give his team the 3 points.

The other match was of maximum importance for ATHLETIC
DE BILBAO who played VALENCIA CF, the latter with its head
totally focused on the mid-week clash against CHELSEA in the
2º leg of Champions. Athletic needed to win in order to stay out
of the relegation zone, as they seriously face the possiblity of going
down to 2º Division next year.Its a real desperate situation for them
which they are trying to avoid.
Valencia helped in Bilbao´s objective by resting Villa, Joaquin, Ayala,
Miguel & Canizares. The outcome was logical, Athletic took the 3points
with the only goal by GABILONDO ( fantastic, see video) & Valencia
put its local Championship aspirations in danger by thinking in Chelsea.
Valencia tried to turn the match in the 2º half by putting on Villa,
Miguel & Joaquin, but Bilbao held on with tooth & nail to secure the
valuable points.
