He is already a living legend for REAL MADRID, current
Captain & still very active with his 30 years of age.
However, there is speculation concerning his future, some
media ( specially English) has RAUL playing at LIVERPOOL
next season. Is this true?
Today in a regular post -training press conference he
spoke about his future. According to Raul, he has NO
information from Real Madrid that they wish to let him
go. He has NO offer from Liverpool, yet alone any other
club for that matter.
He adds that his desire is to continue playing in the club
he loves, that he has 3 more years of contract & that his
intention is to stay at Madrid.
Lastly, Raul finished on this note. If Real Madrid has plans
that differ from his, he would appreciate it dearly that they
communicate their intentions to him, & if they wish him to
leave, he will leave; if its Real Madrid´s desire & if its
the best option for the club.
Are you convienced that he will continue next season at
Real Madrid?

I questioned Raul's place on the team on this very blog a few days ago.
I am simply not able to be objective about Raul, frankly I love the guy. His work rate, commitment and ability to "cut through the shit" at a club that has alot of shit! There aren't many players at Real that can set an example for the youngsters, he is one of them.
But here's the thing, he hasn't played well for 3 seasons, and this season has been particularly bad. With Higuain in the team and playing in the hole I really think Raul cannot expect to get starting lineup game after game. He has shown he cannot play on the right, the only place I see for him is on the left when Robinho is resting. But thne he isn't going to score there. Maybe he should be given a chance without Nistelrooy on the pitch, although he had that opportunity last season and Baptista pretty much took it from him.
If it were anyone else they would have been long gone by now.
If Real really do want him to leave and they are attempting to unsettle him through the press then I think they should be ashamed of themselves.
I dont think they'll let him go even though I think it would be best for him to go since he hasnt been doing good in real. However, who has been doing good? "the best players in the world" and he team hasn't won a tittle in how many years?. truth is nistelrooy is a ballhog son of a ++ he is really starting to get on my nerves. Raul should go to another club and I believe he will prove that he's still got it, somewhere where he is not under the magnifying glass everything he starts.
Nistelrooy maybe alot of things, but he isn't a ballhog - at least not for Real he's not. He doesn't get good enough service to be a hog
Thanks guys, great comments.
Cheers

"Raul will stay at Real Madrid because he is our captain. He is a great player who means a lot to this club," Mijatovic told Real's official website.
"He's got three years left on his contract and he'll stay with us until he retires. We haven't talked to him about the offers we've received for him because he still has three more years on his contract."
