SPANISH FOOTBALL - BARÇA vs REAL MADRID, NEWS & ROUND 26 FIXTURE

Big weekend of Spanish Football in "La Liga" with the big clash
between FC BARCELONA & REAL MADRID which eclipses all
other matches. Plus we have also some interesting news that may
interest our readers, along with the Round 26 fixture.

100.000 spectators with cramp into "Camp Nou" ( pictured
above) to witness "el clasico" of Spanish Football - Barça vs
Real. Two teams who have both been knocked out of Champions
mid-week & are looking for "revenge" & some pride building.
Real Madrid comes in worst than Barça, as they are currently in
real turmoil due to reasons we all know: player unhappiness,
coach uncertainty, in club fighting ...a real mess, which gives Barça
the advantage & makes them favourite beforehand.
But this game is special & anything could happen, thats why Spain
will halt its activity to sit down & watch the derby.

SFS thinks Barça will win because Real comes in without regular
players, they are "spiritually" broken & their game is not up to
the standards to match Barça. It is rumoured that if Real Madrid
lose, that Fabio Capello will be sacked.
So stay tuned readers, this match promises to be a beauty.

Possile Line-Ups:
FC BARCELONA: Valdes, Oleguer, Marquez, Puyol, Gio, Deco,
Iniesta, Xavi, Ronaldinho, Eto´o & Messi
REAL MADRID: Casillas, Salgado, Helguera, S.Ramos, Torres,
Diarra, Gago, Guti, Raul, Cassano & Van Nistelrooy

Here is the VIDEO of the 1º round clash to warm up engines.

Continuing with Real Madrid & its troubles,
ROBERTO
CARLOS
has publically announced that he will leave
REAL
MADRID
at the end of the season. Apparently the criticism
received after his defensive mistake that lead to the quickest
goal in European Cup history, the multiple injuries & the lack
of results has contributed to this decision. A decision which
according to SFS should have come earlier.

Lastly, just when everyone believed
the Getafe´s 21 year old central
defender ALEXIS was going to
Real Madrid, VALENCIA CF steps
in & puts the whole operation in
danger.

Apparently, Real via its Football
Director Mijatovic, has´nt counted
with Getafe to shut the deal & the
club is furious.

This is another example of bad management or inexperience
shown by Mijatovic. Perhaps he should leave as well , along
with Capello, as they are the people responsable for the failure
of this seasons proyect.

Bring Back DEL BOSQUE. and they should seriously sign Alex and sell Cannavaro and Emerson. and Carlos maybe shud stay and help out Marcelo who should be ahead of him in the squad. Carlos was the best left Back ever. good luck with your future carlos

Creo que va a ser un partido facil para el Barça aunque tiene toda la tension de un clasico. Apuesto por un 3-0

Agree with your analysis Striker- it has to be a home win for Barca!

Real Madrid are a shmables and Capello is the wrong fit for the club: he is a defensive coach while Madrid have a philosophy of attacking football.

Can you tell me what is the talk in Spain as to who should take over from Capello? Does Jose Mourinho get a mention given the big speculation in England that he will be forecd out of Chelsea this summer?

Hi Striker et al,

The blog just looks superb, reports and pictures, superb. Glowing attribute to Spanish football.

In England, we have had the North-West derby of Liverpool v Man Utd, then the Lancashire derby of Bolton v Blackburn, something of a less key affair. And now we have the Spanish flavour of the big fight - Barca v Real Madrid.

I agree with what you say, I feel Barca were eager enough on Tuesday to get the only goal and therefore will go into this game with the same tenacity. Real looked out of sorts from Maakay's goal and to concede in the first ten seconds can mentally do that to you. After Lucio's goal, they looked too dazed to come back until the penalty though they almost gained a vital goal via Sergio Ramos, who is becoming impressive for me recently.

If Real field Raul, Robinho, Van Nistelrooy (VNR), Casillas, Ramos, Helguera then they hold a possibility of a surprise win. If Barca can field Ronaldinho, Messi, Eto'o, Giuly, Iniesta, Puyol, Marquez and Valdez, Barca will be too strong and determined to make up for their CL exit.

Real are still Real from appearance, but the soul has been disturbed and it is there where they need to revitalise themselves. The fight Real M carried to enhance their reputation in Spain and Europe has lapsed, and even with the addition of Robinho and VNR, two for me who can sway a game their way with their abilities, the aura of the side is still not correct. This was evident on Wednesday even after Lucio's goal.

I'll be watching this one and go for 2-1 to Barca.
