Dear players, the SPANISH WORLD CUP SQUAD has arrived
in Switzerland, they will train tonight & play their last friendly
match tomorrow against Croatia.
So not much more NEWS for today, will surely post more tomorrow.
HOWEVER, wishing to increase the World Cup temperature &
atmosphere, I have searched the video archives, for a
HISTORIC NIGHT of SPANISH SQUAD FOOTBALL.
THE SCENE was the following - Spain needed to score 11 GOALS
against Malta, if they were to qualify for the European Nations
Cup finals. Its was 1983 & Holland looked certain to pass from
the group, ¿Impossible for Spain you may say?
It looked so at half - time with a 3-1 score & then the MAGIC
happened....the rest is history, Spain won 12 - 1. Let´s hope the
SPIRIT OF 1983 returns to haunt Spain & give them strenght
in Germany 2006.

As much as I would like to see Spain do well, I do not think they have enough fire power in front of goal to take them past the quarters (yeah...again!)
