ATLETICO DE MADRID has excluded this morning from the squad that will be travelling to Portugal for their 2º leg Europa League preliminary game against Vitoria Guimaraes forward DIEGO FORLAN at personal request. Staying with ATLETICO DE MADRID & with transfers, the father of Brazilian & WOLFSBURG midfielder DIEGO RIBA was seen & caught by journalists outside the "Vicent Calderon Staduim" offices last night. There Mr. Ribas was asked about his son & he answered that Atletico de Madrid & Diego had an agreement & it was now up to the Clubs to negotiate.
The only hurdle is that Atletico desires the player on loan with a buying option at the end of the season, while Turkish Club Galatasaray has made a formal buying offer to Wolfsburg which is much more attractive. The advantage that the Spanish Club has over the Turks is that the player has said NO to Galatasary & wishes to play at Atletico.

FC BARCELONA is looking for a class “winger” to replace Thierry Henry & accompany new signing David Villa in their forward line next season. Two names had been circling the office tables at “Camp Barça”: 26 year old Brazilian International & Manchester City player ROBINHO & 22 year old Valencia CF & Spanish International JUAN MATA.
According to Barcelona radio station “Onda Cero” the chosen player is JUAN MATA & FC Barcelona may have already come to an agreement for the transfer of the player for around 20M€ with a 5 year contract. The final decision is reported to have been made by Coach Guardiola who considers Mata an exceptional player with speed, dribbling skills & plenty of goal. Stay tuned, as most observers point to an imminent official announcement.
FC BARCELONA has come to an agreement to sell & transfer to MANCHESTER CITY their midfielder & Ivory Coast International player TOURE YAYA for 30M€ plus an extra 2M€ in variable incentives. The powerful midfielder fell out of grace with Barça Coach Guardiola during the past season when he began to pass more time on the bench than on the playing field.
The rumour around Barcelona town is that FC Barcelona will now employ the 32M€ cash inflow to attempt to convince LIVERPOOL FC to sell their Argentine midfielder JAVIER MASCHERANO. The current Argentina National Team Captain has been a long time desire of Coach Guardiola & now the Club sees the opportunity & became the "perfect" substitute for the departed Toure.
