EUROPEAN GOLDEN BOOT 2010 - 2011 | A TWO HORSE RACE - MESSI vs RONALDO

SPANISH FOOTBALL SPORTS is answering here a few emails from readers asking how things are going so far in the race for this seasons European Golden Ball Award. Well with 6 Rounds left to go,  more or less,  in local competitions ( or at least with the Spanish League ), FC Barcelona player LIONEL MESSI is currently on Top with 30 goals.

The Argentine is closely followed by Real Madrid player CRISTIANO RONALDO with 29 goals.

So, without a final result, currently Messi is ahead & possibly favorite, although anything can happen with Cristiano Ronaldo in there with a firm & solid chance. One of the two looks like taking the Top European Goal-scorer Title.
