News out of Italy, which was picked up in Spain, mentions that Real Madrid is following very closely Christoph Kramer 23 year old midfielder of Borussia Monchengladbach (on loan from Bayern Leverkusen). The source goes further & says that Real Madrid has made a 15M€ offer & would want to get the German over for the "Winter Market". Kramer is seen as the "midfielder" to complement Toni Kroos & fill the "gap" left by Xabi Alosno, while Khedira has not renewed for Real Madrid & is suspected will leave next season.
This news is speculative & still a rumour, but it is not the first time that Kramer & Real Madrid have been associated. Independent observers in local Sports media have also mentioned that the connection is real & a true possibility. Said this, Real Madrid has already a player of similar characteristics which may be a viable & the perfect alternative, Asier Illaramendi, young Spanish International which Real Madrid paid 30M€ Real Sociedad to do precisely what Kramer is thought for & assumed needed.
Meanwhile, from the English Premier League comes the news that Liverpool FC & Manchester United have also placed the midfielder on their wish-list. Thus there could be some strong competition for Real Madrid or, a bidding "war" in coming months. Stay tuned!
Marc André Ter Stegen, that is the name & the chosen goalkeeping substitute of Victor Valdes at FC Barcelona. At least this is what was announced on Spanish radio last night in a popular late-night "Football & Sports" programme. The 21 year old Borussia Monchengladbach keeper has an estimate price of around 10M€ which will need to be negotiated.
Although this news seems "fresh" it is not a surprise. As written here months back FC Barcelona has been following closely the player & has had him high on their list from the day they were told by Victor Valdes that he would not renew contract & leave the 30th of June 2014.
Although the announcement sounds reliable it is still speculation. The other much talked about possible substitute of Victor Valdes at FC Barcelona is currently on-loan from Liverpool FC to Napoles goalkeeper Pepe Reina. The loan to Napoles looked beforehand as a "brigde" towards Barça. Either way the 30th of June is far away & in Football things can change overnight.

It was advanced here about a month ago, FC BARCELONA had in mind 20 year old BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH goalkeeper TER STEGEN to replace their current goalie VICTOR VALDES when the latter left at the end of his contract period.
Other names sounding are Thibaut Courtois, David De Gea, Pepe Reina & Andres Fernández, but Ten Steger is strong. So much so the Spanish TV announced via a popular late-night Football show that the German goalie had a pre-agreement with Barça. The Spanish Football Club has a budget of between 12-20M€ to find the goalkeeping replacement & their choice has been made. Ter Stegen is the German goalkeeping promise who was named "Best Goalkeeper in the Bundesliga" last season.
The representative of Ter Stegen rejects the news coming out of Spain & denies a pre-agreement. The agent has no choice but to do so, as his player is still under contract with his Club & negotiating with Barcelona is not legal under FIFA laws without the players Clubs content.

The transfer of ATLETICO DE MADRID & Spanish International Central Defender DOMINGUEZ to German Club BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH highlights the financial needs of the Spanish Club.
Atletico de Madrid received 8M€ for the player, an amount they will add to the money they are attempting to get together & guarantee that Forward Falcao can stay for next season.
In an attempt to gather up funds I don´t discount that another Atletico player Salvio will soon be the next to move as Benfica is knocking hard on his door, but this in another post.

A real pity personally as an Atletico de Madrid fan, to see this 23 year old player leave. Dominguez is an International & is destined to end up soon as a full-time defender for the Spanish National Team. Plus the man is a "home grown" product of the Atletico de Madrid youth teams & felt the colours strongly acting as Captain in his last games.
Atletico has signed from Getafe experienced defender ( free from contract ) CATA DIAZ, but its not the same as having a home product on the team.
From here I wish Dominguez all the luck in German Football. Borrusia will be happy as there is talent in the man & good Football.
